With the enactment of Law 11,959 of June 29, 2009 issue of the Amateur Fishing License before IBAMA, now within the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture - MPA, which now provides this service through online. Here below the innovations that were incorporated in the new "license" as well as important information on which the angler should be aware.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- The temporary Recreational fishing licenses obtained through the site until 30/06/2010 IBAMA should be requested on a final basis by the MPA\´s website by, clicking here.
- A fishing license is valid Amadora MPA throughout the country and, once licensed, the fisherman can fish anywhere in the country, there is no need to pay the state license. However, state rules must be respected when they are more restrictive than the federal standard. The quota limit federal capture and transport of fish per angler is 10 kg more than one copy for inland waters and 15 kg more than one copy for marine and estuarine waters.
- The recreational fishing license is individual, so the bill, after printing, can only be paid once.
- The provisional license will be valid only upon presentation of proof of bank payment.
- No need to take two or more licenses, the category C covers category B and category B covers category A, but the underwater fishing license - Class-C is recommended only for those who practice fishing underwater (diving).
